Flavors from the Mediterranean: Homage to Barcelona A Special Four-Hands Dinner

The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo, proudly presents Barcelona is a limited-time four-hands, five-course dinner created by Jesús Niño, Executive Chef of The Strings by InterContinental Tokyo, who invited Guest Chef Joaquim Soler, Executive Chef of Bawah Reserve for this collaboration.
The dinner is inspired by the culinary legacy of Chef Fermí Puig, a leading figure in Catalan gastronomy, under whom both chefs trained earlier in their careers. The menu reflects the technical foundations, discipline, and respect for regional ingredients that characterize Catalan cuisine.
Catalan cuisine, one of Europe’s oldest culinary traditions dating back to the Roman era, emphasizes fresh Mediterranean seafood, seasonal vegetables, and olive oil. It blends traditional techniques such as braising and grilling with refined modern approaches, highlighting the natural flavors of each ingredient.
This dinner distills its essence into a carefully curated five-course menu.In addition, a pairing option is available, featuring a selection of wines thoughtfully chosen to complement each dish. Through the harmony of cuisine and wine, guests are invited to experience the culinary culture of Catalonia in greater depth.
